Governors

Who are the Governing Body and what do they do?

Goytre Fawr School’s Governing Body comprises:

  • - Three Governors appointed by the Local Authority
  • - Four Parent Governors
  • - Four Community Governors (including a representative from the Community Council)
  • - One Teacher-Governor
  • - One Staff Governor (Non-Teacher)
  • - The Head Teacher

Governors normally hold office for a term of four years.

Over the past year the full Governing Body has met twice each term; to review progress of the school, evaluate performance and to carry out our statutory duties for reviewing admission numbers, setting the school budget and reviewing the performance of our Head Teacher and Staff.  You can contact any member of the Governing Body through the Clerk to the Governors, via the school office or through the Head Teacher.

Photographs of our Governing Body can be found on display by the school office.
